Cayman Islands-based racer Kyffin Simpson today confirmed he will return to the NTT INDYCAR SERIES in 2025 with Chip Ganassi Racing, piloting the No. 8 Journie Rewards Honda as part of a streamlined three-car effort for the famed Indianapolis-based organisation.
The 20-year-old impressed in his rookie season at Ganassi, opening 2024 with a 12th-place finish and fastest race lap in St. Petersburg, FL. He went on to score four additional top-15 finishes and led three laps at the 108th running of the Indianapolis 500, ending the season 21st in points and second in the rookie standings.
“I am very excited to continue with Chip Ganassi Racing in 2025. I look forward to building on a strong start to my INDYCAR career and I can’t wait to see what our team can achieve together.”
Kyffin returns alongside three-time defending INDYCAR champion Alex Palou, and six-time champion Scott Dixon in the No. 10 and No. 9 entries respectively.
In CGR’s first INDY NXT entries since 2007, Irishman Jonathan Browne and Dutch driver Niels Koolen also join the team for INDYCAR’s developmental series.
